Marching with Pride

Twenty people from RHUC & St. Matthews UC gathered in Newmarket on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon on June 15, 2024. There were more groups marching than ever before, so we had to wait patiently but that is all part of the experience.

We were greeted with cheers when people realized we were representing a church, who celebrated PRIDE as one of our signs said…Proud, Respect, Inclusion, Determined, Everyone!  The cheers grew even louder as we passed Trinity UC where more folk from RHUC were gathered to support this outpouring of love.

At the end of the parade, we were a little tired and sweaty but so happy that we were part of this amazing experience. Thanks to everyone who participated.
