Welcome Teams

We may not know everybody’s name, but we strive to welcome everybody who comes through the door on Sunday morning! The entry area is small and as a new person comes in, visually they are met by a big wall and so they must wonder what they have walked into! But they are greeted by a smiling face and someone who welcomes them; this is more than nice; it is a must if we want to have new people join our worship and work at RHUC.

There are five Welcome Teams of volunteers who represent all of us in this initial welcome and this is the time to prepare next year’s schedule, so people know what their Team’s dates are for the coming year.  The teams are at the door every fifth Sunday but, if they can’t attend, others will cover for them.

With people moving and others unable to attend, we need people to help.  Skills needed:  a warm smile and people who show they like being with their church family.  Others see this and feel comfortable continuing beyond the “big wall”.
