Longtime active member at RHUC has moved to the Renoir Retirement Residence in Newmarket to be closer to her family.
Donna McErlain came to us about 50 years ago and became involved in the church’s worship and work along with raising her children, Michelle and Rob, and teaching at Walter Scott Public School. Donna helped whenever and wherever needed; we could always rely on her to cook and bake, setup and cleanup, sell and serve and be a welcoming presence at church events. Donna helped in the Church School; has served on the Board/Council; been chair of Welcome and Membership Committees. For many years she has been Co-Chair of Pastoral Care, organizing Visitors for those who are experiencing illness, at the hospital or in their home, those who are grieving and being with us as we’ve aged. Donna arranged for speakers to help Visitors and those interested in attending, to learn how to support one another in times of need. And then there were the Seniors’ Lunches and Tiffin Teas.
Our thanks to Donna for all she has done for and with our church and for her happy presence with us!
We wish Donna well, good health and much happiness, as she settles into her new community and makes new friends. Peace and Blessings
