On Sunday July 17th this cross graced the communion table for the first time. It was hand made by a member of the congregation Ken Dunn; no power tools were used. There are three types of wood which make up the different part of the cross - rosewood, oak and mahogany.
The wood of the towering oak symbolises strength, wisdom and healing.
Rosewood symbolises a compassionate and loving heart.
Mahogany is associated with spiritual growth and guidance.
