The stress of daily living affects us all and can prevent us from functioning at our potential.  A sound therapy treatment provides a quiet and gentle space where we can be surrounded by harmonic sound, letting our brains “switch off” so that our bodies, minds and spirits can move to a place of greater health and well-being.” a  quote from the Ottawa Sound Therapy website, Living Sound for Sound Living.

Presenters:

Many of us remember former members Jenn and Jeff Bell, who moved to Britain in 2008 where they lived till returning to Canada in 2020, now living in Ottawa.  While in Britain, Jenn was drawn to sound therapy and is now a certified practitioner, opening a business in Ottawa.  Jenn would like to share this knowledge and have her Richmond Hill friends experience a sound therapy session. Former minister at RHUC, Linda Butler, will facilitate our day with reflection and meditation.

Retreat Plans:

We will gather at L’Arche Daybreak, 11339 Yonge Street, at 9:30; lunch will be provided; closing at 3:30.

We have received a grant from FSYR/SRHCAT through Quick Action Grants funded by the United Way, which enables us to set the registration fee at only $10.00.  The space we are renting can accommodate 30 participants; please respond asap so you will get one of these spaces.
