Come along with members of the  All Saints Whitby Truth and Reconciliation team on Friday July 19th as we travel east to delve into Indigenous history and culture on Tyendinaga First Nation Territory.

Suitable for adolescents and older.

The trip includes a tour of the Christ Church, HM Chapel Royal (ramp access) on Tyendinaga FN territory at 10am followed by a discussion with the executive Director of TSI TYÓNNHEHT ONKWAWÉN:NA Language and Cultural Centre about Mohawk Resurgence and Indigenous culture in the area today and for the future.  Wrap up the morning with a visit to the Flint and Feather trading post and Art Gallery and enjoy your BYOP (bring your own picnic) together on the shores of Lake Ontario on the shaded Pow Wow Grounds (picnic tables, toilets and wash stands; could bring own folding chairs, sun screen, bug spray, ...).

In the afternoon – choose from the following three adventures or head home:

Tyendinaga Cavern and Caves – We are arranging a tour for those interested.  There is an additional cost ($5-$16 – depending on age). There is an easy 1km walking trail to a lookout..
