After the summer break, we will be gathering again on Zoom on Wednesday, October 4th at 4 p.m. to discuss Gill Paul's novel of historical fiction, The Collector's Daughter: A Novel of the Discovery of Tutankhamun's Tomb.

This book will appeal to fans of the beloved TV series, Downton Abbey, as the real Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle, is one of the settings in the novel. The Collector's Daughter has been described as "a brilliant novel about Lady Evelyn Herbert, the woman who took the very first step into the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, and who lived in the real Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle, and the long after-effects of the Curse of Pharaohs."

New members are always welcome to try out the group. No previous book club experience necessary! We are a friendly bunch. For more information, please contact Sandra Loughton at bookgirl8@hotmail.com

OCTOBER: We will be gathering  on Zoom on Wednesday, October 25 at 4 p.m. and the book is The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont.  Please see event listing for full details.
